Hygiene and Food Industry Garments To meet the rigid standards necessarily applied to the manufacture of food products and cooked foods, it is necessary to adopt a totally different approach to the styling of garments in order to avoid cross contamination. In this section you will find that our garments have been designed to limit/prohibit human contact with whatever process a person is involved in.
- Garments can be fastened at the front, right up to the neck.
- The sleeve ends are closed to tighten on the wearers wrist
- Access to internal clothing is avoided
Note Though regulations and good manufacturing practice specifies the need for the highest hygiene standards, in practice 'people are people' and find that wearing garments that tighten to their skin is restrictive and therefore the temptation is aways there to 'flout' the regulations. Staff training in the use and importance of wearing these garments correctly, is extremely important.
