Electrostatic contamination - an unseen threat in static controlled areas and cleanrooms 

Static Electricity is an invisible menace - impossible to prevent and difficult to control. 

Unseen, unheard and often unfelt, it can cause fatal damage to electronic components - resulting in expensive re-work if detected prior to release. Worse still, failure when in the field results in loss of customer confidence, costly engineer’s time and expensive replacement and rework. In electronic assembly, most defects caused by uncontrolled electrostatic discharge can be traced to charged personnel making Static dissipative protective garments an essential part of an ESD control programme.
